A Halifax lad was born
Quite a lad was he
Cute as a button
Every girl looked his way you see

He worked many a job
And then on a dare
He got up to the mike and sang
And all the folks could do was applaud and stare

With that in mind
He had a notion
Became part of a few bands
But Halifax Three caused a commotion

And there in New York
He met Cass and had the odd fiancial slumps
Then it wasn't long before he was in with the Mugwumps

And when that was done
Oh what was he to do
He recieved word sometime later
About John and Michy 's group dilemma too

At this point in time
They were having a gas
Something was forming but yet missing
A needed link to complete
Ah-- Cass

Magic amongst them took place
And so went the tale of Denny as a Papa
In all the glory and dissaray he would face

Fast foward to the future
And those days of yesterday are of his past
He decided to create a musical about his time
In a historical and humourous view
It was to be his last

He left this world in 2007
I know his spirit is up in heaven

Everytime I look at a penny
I smile and think of good ol'
Irish Eyes Denny ...

Hi Cassfan,
A great tribute to Denny. I can't beleve it's been three years since he passed. His music lives on.

and sometimes bad
but he died with pride
nothing there he had to hide
he is on a new album
which nobody on this site seems to give a humdrum
I'm confused as I'm enthused
why aren't others too?
go out and buy
it may make you high
give it a try
many mamas many papas
ever eaten Argentinian tapas?
