OK, I acknowledge that getting the rights to do this would be a gargantuan undertaking, but after spending the last 2 hours on youtube, watching all of the absolutely incredible footage of Cass guesting on various Television shows throughout the 70s (Andy Williams, Hollywood Palace, that awesome clip of her on the Tonight Show doing "I'm Coming To the Best Part Of My Life", etc...), I'm convinced that a compilation DVD of Cass' appearances on the various variety TV shows that peppered the television landscape in the 60s and 70s would be very well received. Especially in light of the recent nostalgia for the exuberant spirit of that era. Does anyone else agree?

now that would be sweet and somthing to look forward to. Might even be able to include Cass on the 'Dating Game' and the 'Match game', though I admit that is asking for a lot, but I get greedy sometimes.

Hi John,
I had thought of a compilation, exactly as you had described. You are correct, the costs would be prohibitive. Companies charge up to $2000 a minute for licensing. With the sheer number of performances, the cost would skyrocket!
We can dream, can't we?

Speaking of licencing, many times, though I can't be specific, I have heard a popular song being sung before, during, or after a movie but not sung by the artist who made it famous, obviously since it const so much for the rights to use the song that the producers would not, or could not, spend more big bucks to licence the original recording.
