Here is a poem --enjoy ! I'll do more as they come to me ....

" Cass Elliot~ A Voice Like No Other"

Back in the fifites sometime when
A woman with her singing gained attention
Time and again
Then with the demise of the Mugwumps
And her friend Denny at her side
Met up with John and Michelle
And what a ride
" California Dreamin" and " Creeque Alley"
Hits they became
Their lives intertwined wild and tame
After two years together
It was time to give up the game
Mama Cass went on and did her own thing
She convinced the whole world of her gift to sing
Though her solo time was short and sweet
Her legacy lives on in CDs
A treat
Her distinctiveness and beauty
The humour and charm
Never mind her size
It didn't do harm
She left this world but left behind
A precious daughter
A mother and sister , brother
Songs of her gift
Forever to treasure
Cass Elliot-- A Voice Like No Other...

Great poem - but I gotta be honest - CE would have cringed at the word 'Mama.'

If I talk about her to someone, I never use the term 'Mama' and if anyone else speaks of her and uses the word, (as rude as it may sound) I tell them that she hated that nickname and wanted to simply be know as Cass Elliot (ESPECIALLY during her solo years).
