Our dear Cass' bday is coming up...this Monday !!! I'm remembering a little ahead of time, as I might not get to be online that day...
Here's a gift to Cass' memory on her special day:

" Smile Maker "

A ray of sunshine was cast
On the nineteenth day of September
Little did we know
This woman was going to be famous
And a legacy to forever remember
Of course her voice and wit
Made many a friend by the mile
A kaleidescope of being
Sometimes things were fragile
Yet she was a rainbow
Whose spirit and soul gave vibrancy
Soared free in the wind
Stood ground on her own
As time went on
The realization of just what she was about
And how her following has grown
To which we all take the time
To let it be known
Though she is no longer here
Every year in July we shed a tear
But this day in September
Let' us commemorate and celebrate , embrace
Cass' life
She will always be
The smile maker...

Belated Happy Birthday dear one. Though I forgot the exact date, thought it was Sep 29, I will never forget you.

I like the fact that I'm a fellow Virgo with Cass, being that I was born on September 20. Unfortunately that was the day Jim Croce died in a plane crash.

My most recent birthday can be noted (and forgotten) for a nasty car crash, in which my car was totaled and I was hospitalized for several days. Yikes!
