Hello everyone! I live in Brazil and I have a curiosity!

I've read in many places that Mama Cass's body had been cremated, but what confuses me is the fact that there his tombstone in the cemetery at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, as if there were been buried and not cremated. Does anyone know anything about it?

Yes, Cass was cremated, and she does have a tombstone. It is possible to have both - after the cremation, your family receive the ashes and they can put them where they want to. If they want a grave with a tombstone, that is fine. I'm guessing here, but I'd imagine that Cass's remains were cremated because she died overseas, and that the ashes were taken back home after that. Her family could then place the ashes into a grave.

Yes she was cremated but in California. This is the sad part when they do an autopsy they cut you from above the breast down to your groin. That makes me sad to know they had to defile Casses body witch they did in London. But it proved it was not from a sandwich. And yes you can put a persons ashes in a casket.

Cass was cremated and her ashes were initially interred in Washington. Sometime in the 90s (I think), they exhumed the ashes and buried her at Mt. Sinai. And it's a plaque, not a stone:
