Cass filmed a TV pilot in 1972?

I was reading old newspaper articles and I came across this one from Sept., 1972:



Anybody know anything about this?

Reading the story it sounds like an offhand remark or something like "I'm in discussions...." with which Eugenia Shephard, the author, took pretty large liberties. I think it's just something that might have been contemplated similar to her telling Skitch Henderson in the extensive 1973 Interview that we have posted here on the site that she was going to be playing the Ethel Merman part in Anything Goes in a Summer Stock run of the show.
