Odd occurence on Cass's death day.
Posted: Tue Jul 08, 2014 7:05 pmAs the 40th anniversary of Cass's death is fast approaching, I found out the other day that another odd occurrence happened on the day she died. Last Thursday, the Detroit Tigers hit 3 homers in the first inning in their game against the Tampa Bay Rays. This marked the 5th time since 1938 that the Tigers hit 3 homers in the first inning, and one of times that it happened was none other than July 29, 1974, the day of Cass's death.
