Ok, just was curious, as to which of the Mamas and Papas publicity/album cover pix, , do you consider to be your favourites/least faves ?

Good question. I don't have any least faves But, here are my favorites:
1. The first album cover with and without the exposed toilet.
2. The Deliver album cover
3. The shot of all of them in the pool, I think it was from the Deliver sessions. It was taken by Guy Webster and is in Michelle Phillips's book.
4. The photo of them that is one of the very first group shots of The Mamas and The Papas, also in Michelle's book.
5. The picture of the group in the studio, with the microphones from the Michael Ochs Archives.

my favourite photo session is the one that was taken in the desert (1966) from which the second album's cover was picked.

I also like a lot the pics of them in a park (1967):

Finally is also great the photo session of the 4th album from early '68.

My all time favorite pic is the first one that I ever saw, the Guy Webster b/w shot outside by the fence. Wish there were more of them. One of the old British music papers had an outtake of just John and the picture book, the one that is outrageously expensive on ebay, has an outtake of Denny hanging on to the fence and Cass hanging on to Denny. Real groovy.

correction. In the outtake mentioned above Cass is hanging on to the fence too but her and Denny are real close.
