Hal Blaine's Solo Album

Postby davidasix » Sun Mar 27, 2011 12:22 pm

Was reading that Hal Blaine's second solo album from 1965 called appropriately, "Drums! Drums! A Go Go" featured John Phillips on guitar. What's the scoop? Also what does Hal Blaine say about John in his biography? Is it worth getting? "Hal Blaine and The Wrecking Crew: 3rd Edition"

Hi Dave,
Unfortunately, I don't know about Hal Blaine's solo album that featured John Phillips on guitar. But, in my humble opinion, Hal Blaine and The Wrecking Crew is definitley worth getting. An entire chapter is dedicated to The Mamas and The Papas, and Mr. Blaine discusses is interactions with all of the group members.
Take care,
Nicole
