Samples of "Andy Warhol Presents Man on the Moon"

Postby davidasix » Sat Jul 18, 2009 6:27 pm

Hi all,

Amazon has samples of each track from "Andy Warhol Presents Man on the Moon"

The variety from John is amazing. This is clearly his most creative output yet. I love the showcasing of his vocals. This is really a John Phillips album.

Take a listen!

I'm gonna skip checking the clips. Already ordered my copy and hopefully will have it soon! Phillips never lets me down.

My copy shipped out today, but I still couldn't resist checking out some of the clips. If "Wee Funkie Little Bats" is any indication, this is gonna be a real treat!

Was a little disappointed that some of the tracks are the same versions that have already been released on other discs (Stepping to the Stars, Penthouse of Your Mind, Love Is Coming Back and other Genevieve tracks...), but on the other hand, some I thought would be the same versions we've heard before, are not (Yesterday I Left the Earth, There Is a Place). :D Overall, I'm incredibly pleased based on what I've heard so far, and can't wait to hear the rest!

And, more than anything else, I can't wait to see the rehearsal video of 'Penthouse'!

I go the cd today. The actual cd says 35 tracks but the package says 38 plus pdh file. Anyone know why this is?

Thanks

The last three are video rehearsal footage.

when I put it in my computer it lists 35 tracks, the last 2 are listed as 'Studio Recording Out-takes'.

What about tracks 36, 37 and 39 which are listed as 'Video Rehersal footage' and the PDH file which is listed too?

I think the PDF file is with the dvd of the rehersal footage, if that helps.Maybe the last tracks are part of the dvd footage?

Nicole, what dvd? There is only one disc and everything that is listed is listed on that one disc. When I got it I practically broke the case looking for another disc, like maybe a cd-rom or something. Strange but it's probably me that is at fault.
