"Don't Make me a Memory" on Cass E / Road CD?

I'm currently tied to my chair so I don't hurt myself FREAKING OUT that the twofer is being shipped to me today!!!! To say I'm excited is to grossly misrepresent the feeling . It is going to be an agonizing week or so wait until my mailbox glows bright with the radiance that is Cass! (Yes, I'm that anxious for it to arrive!)

I got the same notice and can't believe it! After all these years, finally. I cannot wait to play it.

Got the dvd yesterday but haven't had a chance to watch it. I don't want to just throw it on while I'm busy doing other things... it has to be an "event," with drinks, popcorn, etc. haha

My DVD arrived today and all I can do is stare at it! I can't believe it's here. Tonight there will be a Cassathon at my house! Food, wine, 60s aromatherapy, etc... God I love her!

The CD arrived today and it is AMAZING.

First of all, how touching are Owen's liner notes? VERY. Richard's are excellent, too, as they always are. I'm so grateful for them, for this, for the music and everything. What a great day I'm having.

The bonus cuts are remarkable. Cass sounds relaxed, jazzy and soulful. She could have done a whole r&b album, I think. Just fabulous. I love "We'll See" especially.

Just wanted to add my thoughts. I agree with everything that's been said about the cd. You can see Cass's varied styles in the arrangements and the songs' lyrical content. My favorites are: Jesus Was a Cross Maker, I think it's Gonna Rain, When it Doesn't Work Out, (If You're Gonna) Break Another Heart, Doesn't Anybody Love You, and The Road Is No Place For a Lady.

This international, anxiously awaiting fan just got THAT MUCH more impatient for his CD to arrive after reading all your raving reviews.

Mine shipped on the 17th. Usually takes about 10 days for a parcel to make its way here from the US, fingers crossed I shall be listening to it by this coming weekend. Ah, excitement grows...
