Cass written Biographys

Hello. Has anyone read any of the Cass biographies that are on Amazon.com? There are a few and I am wondering from the Fans which book is a better read?

I would like to buy them ALL but really want one first with information that is accurate!

Hi Jay,

Go no further than Eddi Fiegels' biography DREAM A LITTLE DREAM: The Life of Cass Elliot, it's by far one of the best bio's I've ever read, beautifully researched, Eddi spoke with EVERYONE. Michelle Phillips' 'CALIFORNIA DREAMIN" is good, as is John Phillips' PAPA JOHN. It's interesting to cross refrence situations and events between the three books as you'll see 3 different perspectives. Shame is Denny never wrote a book but he did have his one man show.
Definately get Eddi's book, at my last check amaon.com still had copies of a Hardback edition for sale.

Jon Johnson also wrote a lovely, if brief, career respective bio on Cass back in the 80s. If I'm not mistaken, there's a link to email him on the "links" page of this site, and you can get the book directly from Jon. I ordered mine about 10 years ago from a local book store.

If you've read the liner notes to the Dream a Little Dream: The Cass Elliot Collection CD, those are also by Jon.

Anyway, it's a quick and fun / informative read. It also includes Cass's FBI file, which is great for a laugh. Introduction by sis Leah, too.
