I am answering my own question here.
I think that she convinced herself that it was consensual because (in a weird way) it may have saved face about JP in her mind a bit.
If it was strictly NOT consensual, then it would be out and out rape, and I don't think that she was prepared at the time to think of her father as a rapist.
This is JUST MY OPINION, though....

Considering that MP was speaking about it in an interview just last night, yes we are (and Dr. Drew is doing voiceovers with MP footage on reruns of "Celebrity Rehab").
