Cass would of have great as a judge on American Idol

I think Cass would of been a perfect choice as a judge for American Idol and would of enjoyed Simon's commentary and put her two cents in .

Please don't be angry at what I write here. I respect your opinion; but, it is my sincere belief that Cass wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with "American Idol." I blame that show for precipitating the dumbing-down of the music scene, taking the fangs out of Rock & Roll and creating a lowest-common-denominator pop mindset! I can just imagine Robert Plant or Jimi Hendrix in front of Simon: "that was loud, self-indulgent, screeching nonsense, you're not going through"! UGH.

I feel that someone with Cass' ferocious individuality would have poo-pooed the idea. I also think that after a fertile, vibrant decade of music like the 60s, a show like "American Idol" wouldn't have existed during her lifetime.

With due respect to my fellow Cassophiles that do like the show: I hope I've said my piece respectfully, without insult. If I have, however inadvertantly done just that, I apologize for word choice...I stand by my opinion though.

I think she would've been incredible. Her talent plus her sense of humor would've given Simon more than a handful. I could imagine their quarrels. He'd only remind her of John Phillips.
