I picked up the Cass CD " Dedicated...." and....

Postby CassFanForLife » Mon Nov 01, 2010 2:22 pm

The other day I went to go pick up my Cass CD I had odered from the record shop that is my Cass /M7P GodSend...
It was the " Mama Cass - Dedicated To The One I Love" and I loved it, especially the songs I had only heard on youtube in the last while that otherwise i had never known about... I don't care too much for the CD title- they could of come up with something more fitting , oh well... The " Sour Grapes " song , is country-ish, I really liked it...her voice just goes with the flow of any genre, just open her mouth and the beauty comes out....I also liked " Blow Me A Kiss " it reminded me of Judy Garland.... Well, I liked them all , but those 2 stand out for me....

Jazz and the country elements , to me, captures Cass at her best. I hope to eventually one day have ALL of Cass ' stuff....i may not hear it well when I'm in my 90s but I'll enjoy just the same-lol !

Hi CassFan- Yes, two strong picks from Her album- I'll play this set on a lazy weekend, helps to set the mood. And, you are so right about how she could sing anything, and I mean anything, in such a way, well, it affects you. Whatever Cass sang, if you really listen to it ( I know that you do) you are taken to another place. Now that's entertainment! And that is only covering one aspect of such a multi-talented Woman far, far ahead of her time. I firmly believe that there is a lot of her work yet to be released, more TV stuff for example, that we will be enjoying Cass Elliot for quite some time to come! Exciting!
