Ron Nigrini?

I was reading an old "google alert" e-mail about the Mamas and Papas. It had a link to an article, but when I clicked on the link, I couldn't find the rest of the article. It was in the 2/21/08 Midnight Monitor, Espanola, Ontario. The title was Ron Nigrini's Coming to Town. The article began with, "Still a teenager, he and some friends 'caught the spotlight big time' when they appeared as the opening act for the Mamas and Papas held at Toronto's..." and that's all I could get. Did anybody read the whole article? Or does anybody know what concert they are referring to and when it happened? I have never heard of Ron Nigrini. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Charee. I think it's the World Expo from 1967 in Toronto. The Ms and Ps were there and it was here that Cass made a strong connection with the band Three's A Crowd. There were some fantastic photos of the group from this visit to Canada which were sadly lost in a fire.

Thank you, Richard. I didn't remember reading that they were in Toronto, but it's been quite a while since I have read the biographies. So, that's where Cass met Three's a Crowd. Isn't that the group for whom she produced an album? I'll have to get my books out and refresh my memory!

I was hoping he would have had more memories to share about The Mamas & Papas; what he thought of them and their show. But then again, this is about his story not theirs. But at least he remembered Cass!

Possibly there are some photos floating around. It was a big event so maybe there was more then 1 photographer there. Just a, hopeful, assumption on my part. Were the pictures the ones that were featured in that rare 'Canadian Teen' mag was was recently available on ebay, the one with the drawing of the group on the cover? Anyone have that mag and are you willing to scan the pics for us?
