Hi CassFan- It's interesting that you brought this up, as I was thinking of this very thing today, while playing her music! No matter what, to me, Cass' performance of "My Love" is so powerful and electrifying, that it never fails to deeply move me. And with a superb Orchestra playing full out, well, it strikes a chord all right! Of course, there are many, many more!
Hi Terry...Thankyou for your reply...LOL...I guess Cass has that affect on people...when you all like a common thing, sooner or later, you will think alike...lol !!! I agree with your commentary as well... Cass' rendition of "My Love " clearly out does Paul's any day, anytime, anywhere, bar none !
Hi Cassfan, I would say that among the Cass songs that affect me the most are: 1. Different 2. The Good Times are Coming 3. The Morning After 4. One Way Ticket 5. Does Anybody Love You? Thes songs affect me the most lyrically in terms of the message, and they sound great, too! Take care, Nicole
"Does Anybody Love You" and "Who In The World" I can't really explain why I just get that little achy chest feeling that you have when a song you love comes on the radio...if that makes sense.
I love all Cass's songs but "That Song" (I don't know why) but it really makes me feel sad, like nostalgic and alone almost. But in a good way lol, oh dear!
I have just joined the Cass Elliot Community Forum so trying to get around it here. My all time favourite cass song is " Make Your Own Kind Of Music" It brings out her talent and her beautiful voice. I love the video clip of her singing it on the Sammy Davis Jnr show she looked great and sang great
There are so many, it is hard to narrow down to just one. Two of my all time favorites that I never tire of listening to are "Cherries Jubilee" and "Disney Girls" from Cass' first RCA record -- "Cass Elliot"
