The day Cass came along
Into our Earthly world
To share her gifts
In wit and charm
But for the most part in song
A beautiful voice so vivid
Resonating profoundly the Big WOW
Each day someone discovers her
Her legacy more sacred
Continuing strong
The way she moves you
With a note or a phrase
With her loving smile
The odd humourous gaze
All in all
Unique and intelligent
Fashionable and attractive
Clearly a woman of her own
One of the all time best vocalists
That this world has ever known
She took good with bad
Sometimes was angry or even sad
Her smile gave way when she was glad
My how her laughter was contagious and hearty
How could you not join along
And indeed she was the life of a party
Why in her presence I can safely assume
She'd bring out the best in you
Make your personality bloom
What a beauty
That kindred lass
Let's hear it for our special lady
