Stay at John's House?

Postby davidasix » Mon Jul 25, 2011 6:48 pm

To paraphrase John: If you're going to Palm Springs, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair...

"This luxurious second master suite was the room in which Papa John Phillips recorded his last two albums."

I was in Palm Springs, didn't even think to drive by...

Hi Dave,
Cool link, thanks for sharing. One can only wonder what other recordings would have been done there had John Phillips lived. Yet, I am greatfull that we have the body of work that remains.
Take care,
Nicole

I assume the last two albums are considered Pay Pack and Follow and Phillips 66? Damn, things are so quiet around here, we really need a new Varese release (of what I'm thinking will be the 1992 sessions).

didn't JP once say that if you were a star that you should live like one. Looks like that he continually lived up to that dictum. Good for him.
