40 years ago today we lost our beloved Cass in body but not in spirit and talent. Bless you dear one.

Ugh. Between Amy Winehouse's "who-didn't-see-it-coming?" initiation into the "27 Club," the embarassing debacle in Washington and the remembrance of what we lost 37 years ago today, it is a melancholy Friday indeed.

The anniversary of her passing is always a sad day, I know it's weird because I didn't know Cass and I never met her but her music has helped me through so many tough times. Bless you Cass and thank you.

Actually, it has only been 37 years.

40 will happen in '14.
