There came to be one sad day
In July of 1974
Tears were flowing
The voice was silenced
Never to be heard no more
Her memory and legacy
Of her personality and song
That's what 's still alive and going strong
To embrace and ensuring her gift is carried on
Her ways of singing moves you
Her humour makes you laugh til you cry
Definitely unique in her own right
That, you can't deny
Don't even think about it
Dare not try
She gave her all
Believed in what she thought right
For the folks of the 60s
She was " Groovy, out of sight "
Since you've been gone
Things have gone on and changed in the world true
Never , never dear Cass will you be forgotten
Always will you be remembered
We Love You ...

wow that is a really fab poem, having read your previous posts/poems i am very impressed. On a different note i have just seen the Scooby doo movie with our mama as a special guest. I read all about it on a previous post so for that i am very greatful, aned wow what a movie! it goes a long way to showing what a warm and humerous person cass must have been. i have to also say thanks for the replys to my first post but...... it would be groovy if some other cass fans would say hello to me . Im learning a lot of things by reading the fantastic information on this site,, and it gives me a nice warm feeling to know that there are people who share the same feelings towards cass as i do.
