40 years ago today that Cass left us.

His voice and his eternal talent is forever in our memory.

Thanks Cass, will forever be in my heart!

At work today listening to Cass, all day. Have loved her voice since when I was a teenager back in the late 60's
Hope to meet her in heaven one of these days! (but not too soon!) :)

It doesn't seem possible that Cass has been dead for 40 years. Do you realize that she has been dead longer than she was alive? She was 32 years old at the time of her death. She has been heavily in my thoughts throughout today. Sometimes it just blows my mind that I am a huge fan of hers. Hardly a week goes by that I don't think of her. I spent this evening listening to her greatest hits collection and it felt like she was singing right in front of me. It's great the Cass's music and memory has endured to this day and will continue to do so for many more years to come.

" Lady Cass "

A gifted woman she was
Had brilliance and class
Witty and spunky
Be with best of them
But cross her path
She wouldn't hesitate
In her own way
To kick yer ***
A singing voice
Definitely quite like no other
Try as some probably have and had
All they can do is their own version
Of a cover
She put into her songs
Emotional rainbows
That took you to a place
The brilliance and calibre of delivery
Sophistication and grace
Like a true flower
Nurtured and in full bloom
A butterfly spirited soul
Whose wings soared
Beyond the horizon
In her times of joy and gloom
Embrace her smile and laughter
And all that she left behind
Of the musical gifts
She sings
The time has flown
And her fanbase grown
We honour her
Remember her
One of the best vocalists
The universe will have ever known
Much love to her
And her family and friends en masse
Concluding my tribute on significant day
Of one fine Miss Lady Cass...
