Hi Papa J,

I agree; I can't wait. I'm not sure if they sang together or not; but, check out the picture from the archives here about three-quarters of the way down--it sure looks like they're in mid-song:

Thanks, jcg! Either way, the DVD sounds like a great item to put on my Christmas list this year!

Hi jcg and papaj,
As far as I know, Michelle did sing with Cass and was a guest on the show. I don't know if there was any participation ib skits, though. Hope this helps.
Take care,
Nicole

Thanks, Nicole. It's a rare treat to see members of the M & Ps performing together after their break up. I would love to have a tape or DVD of Denny, Michelle and John performing together on Denny's Canadian tv show. I believe they showed that footage on one of their bios. I didn't know until recently that Michelle appeared in that special, so that's one more reason to buy it. I have Cass's first special, which was great.

Michelle and Cass do sing together in the 1973 special, albeit in a skit. "The Cass Elliot Story" is presented as a series of musical vignettes/skits tracing Cass' life/career. In the portion loosely based on the The Big 3/Formation of The Ms and Ps, Cass and Michelle join forces singing a brief parody of "Monday Monday" called "Tuesday Tuesday." It's cute but I don't think I would characterize it as serious duet!

Hi papaj,
You're welcome. I agree, It was rare to see everyone performing together after the group broke up. If I remeber correctly, a clip of John, Michelle ,and Denny singing on his 1978 show was in Straight Shooter. I also would like to see that whole show, but I am happy DCMMA is going to be released on dvd. :D
Take care,

Will the dvd be region 1 :?: I hope it's region 0 so I can watch it here in the UK. Many thanks, Richard.

Ohhh, I cannot wait for the DCMMA DVD to come out, and I'm sorry that I never got to see the actual special on tv. I was only but a youngster back then, and if I did watch it, I would of appreciated it even at that young age because I like a good sense of humour and good singing...and CASS had the gifts of both :)

It's always nice to be able to re-see these rarities of post M & P's get togethers, throughout the yrs before Cass, John, Denny passed on. It only makes me appreciate them even moreso :)
