The US Copyright office lists a co-writing credit to Denny for "Even If I Could". Does anyone know if this is accurate?

Hi Chris,

You may want to include these:

Secret Place - Myra Breckinridge Soundtrack

Funeral - Brewster McCloud Soundtrack
White Feather Wings - Brewster McCloud Soundtrack

Fairytale Girl - Written for Romance Is On The Rise (unreleased)

Bluegrass Breakdown - The Man Who Fell To Earth Soundtrack
Rhumba Boogie - The Man Who Fell To Earth Soundtrack

I'm sure there are more. I'll keep digging.

Lol, I've been around forever, since back when we were all on the Creeque Alley Yahoo Group back in 2000!

I talked to Mike Boran the other day and he verified the Michael Row the Boat Ashore thing (also spoken of subsequently by Richard in the Smoothies post). I've also updated the list with a couple other additions and corrections.

Yes, there's actually an album (!) of the Schlitz commercials. I have one and I think Charles does too. Great songs. So typical of the era. My understanding is that the Canada Dry and San Francisco Bread jingles were never recorded. I've searched for the Canada Dry one over the years. That's more likely to have been recorded.

Here's what Dick said regarding the commercials...

"There were only a couple. There was also a Canada Dry Commercial, the
first thing the three of us ever did (the voice is America, the choice is
Canada Dry!) Lots of Schlitz beer commercials, and a commercial for a San
Francisco bread company. John wrote all of them."

How about "I Wished" from the Stones Sessions? I'm not positive that John wrote it, but I think so.

I wonder if Scott McKenzie ever registered "What's the Difference, Chapter IV" which John wrote the finale verse for. I love Scott's voice and collaboration with John. There are some rareties from their time together.
